The placenta is a multi-tasker that supports the baby’s life inside the womb until birth. With the help of Micro-CT imaging, even the smallest fetal capillaries are visualized so we can look more closely into placental pathologies.
It is fascinating to see a temporary organ with such complex vasculature, doing everything it can for a successful pregnancy.
