Scuba diving opens the door to a mesmerizing underwater world, but it also comes with inherent risks. Our research is dedicated to enhancing diver safety through cutting-edge wearable technology. This piece showcases our innovative smart dive glove, designed to enable seamless underwater communication even without a direct line of sight. Accompanying it is our advanced physiological monitoring strap, which alerts nearby divers if the wearer experiences stress. The strap is equipped with hydrogel-based ECG sensors to monitor heart rate and a strain sensor to track breathing rate. For colder waters, the monitoring system is also available in a vest form, providing additional warmth to the diver.
